A look at how geology influences plants on this walk onto Limestone Pavement.

About this event

A walk to the limestone pavement of Ogof Ffynnon Ddu National Nature Reserve taking in the Geology and how it influences the botanical interest of the area. There'll be plenty of time to explore the pavement and look at the specialist plants that grow upon it.

This event will be outdoors and numbers will be limited. A distance of around 4 miles will be walked. Meet at Penwyllt Quarry, SA9 1GQ, SN856155 where there is plenty of free parking.

Bring food, drink, suitable clothing & footwear.

This event is one of a series BIS are running to promote the wildlife that makes its home within the Brecon Beacons National Park (BBNP) and is thanks to funding from the Brecon Beacons National Park and CLIF bar. Although its focus is on the BBNP and promoting wildlife to individuals and communities within the Park the topics covered will be equally valid across Wales and the UK.
