About this event
"Limitless Palette of Emotions and Imagination" is Melete Gallery's first, and particularly significant, inclusive exhibition. Our mission is to showcase the work of artists from social groups who are underrepresented in the art world and public spaces. We aim to amplify their voices, highlight their unique potential, and integrate their perspectives into a broader discussion on important social and artistic issues.
This exhibition, "Unlimited Palette of Emotions and Imagination: An Inclusive Exhibition," features diverse works by 33 artists who nurture their passions and talents in community self-help centres, social welfare homes, and occupational therapy workshops. The pieces on display have been carefully selected from the winners and participants of several editions of the nationwide art competition, "Nikifors' World." This competition, organised by Change4Good as part of the Nikifory social programme, has consistently unearthed and promoted the talent of creators working outside the mainstream art scene for many years. The works reveal the extraordinary richness of their imagination and expression.
The artists in our exhibition employ a variety of techniques, including acrylic painting, watercolour, wax graphics, watercolour crayon, pastel, batik, and collage. The themes of their works revolve around personal experiences ("My World"), dreams ("Dreams"), and universal motifs such as ("Christmas").
Through this exhibition, we hope to draw attention to the exceptional potential of the featured artists, seeking a better understanding of their world through the art they create. We want to initiate a deeper dialogue, which will form the foundation for actions aimed at democratising art and building a more inclusive cultural and social space.
