Description

LINAROL CONSORT OF VIOLS

David Hatcher, Alison Kinder, Asako Morikawa & Claire Horacek

with MATTHEW POCHIN tenor

“Will niemand singen?”

Will no one sing?

Music from a hitherto unpublished manuscript in Vienna, newly edited by David Hatcher.

Playing copies of the oldest surviving viol, made by Francesco Linarol and dating from exactly the same period as the manuscript, the Linarol Consort with Matthew Pochin will explore the rich and diverse repertoire of German song in this remarkable collection, by Ludwig Senfl, Heinrich Isaac, Alexander Agricola, Pierre de la Rue and Josquin Des Prez.
