How to survive (and thrive) in a career in medicine, with Dr Clare Gerada

About this Event

Please note: you will be notified of the precise location of the event within the University of Lincoln nearer the time.

Dr Clare Gerada is a GP who works in London. She established the Practitioner Health Programme to support doctors and dentists with mental health and associated issues.

She's a past Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners and was the college's first female chairperson for 50 years. She is now a member of the BMA Board , and has recently been appointed co-chair, with Sir Chris Ham, of the NHS assembly.

She will be leading an interactive session on "How to survive a career in medicine", covering:

  • Are things as bad as they appear to be?
  • What are the root causes of burnout and other health issues in the NHS?
  • How can we thrive, and not just survive, in the NHS?
