"Cultivating Learning Agility"

To offer coaches of all levels the opportunity to engage in applied practical coaching sessions highlighting the importance of adopting a creative and holistic approach that is player-centred and enjoyable!

Coaches will be able to discuss challenges, ideas and experiences around individual settings and how these can be effectively shared within the group.

The three key speakers are unique in how they approach coaching and delivery, and have worked in a variety of environments supporting players and their development.

Lunch and refreshments will also be included throughout the day as part of the ticket cost.


Richard Cheetham MBE - Senior Fellow in Sports Coaching University of Winchester:

Richard Cheetham MBE has a reputation at national and international level in coach education and development, with his work ranging from rugby union to triathlon and professional cycling with the UCI. His research, publications and conference presentations have focussed on developing a more holistic approach to coaching as well as encouraging creativity and innovation in practice session design. The important role of play in sport at all levels of performance and across all ages has been a specific area of research, with his work contributing to a regional primary education physical literacy initiative, UK Coaching, Rugby Canada and the University of Winchester Play and Creativity Festival. He was recently awarded the 2018 UK Coaching Coach Developer of the Year.


John Fletcher Co-Founder of The Magic Academy, Coach Developer and previous Newcastle Falcons and England Rugby U18 Head Coach:

Fletch is a unique and innovative coach developer whose background spans across a number of sports, most notably rugby union. As England Rugby U18 Head Coach he developed a unique and challenging environment where players could explore their individual boundaries. Fletch is passionate about supporting coaches and environments. He will innovate and agitate the status quo in the "world" of coach development, whilst having as much fun along the way….


Warren Abrahams England Rugby 7’s and Harlequins:

Warren's coaching and leadership philosophy is developed through his back story with significant moments that influenced are still influencing his life. Warren's inspiration comes from his “WHY” inspiring and developing people through coaching. The journey excites him, the possibilities are endless and unlocking human potential brings joy to his world.
