Join us at Whisby Nature Park on Saturday 27 September as we hear from the three finalists in the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards 2025.
The finalists are:
- Sutton on Sea Beachcare
- Humber Wild
- Together Initiative in Gainsborough.
The overall winner will be announced just before midday
The day is also a chance to connect with others, exchange ideas, chat with wildlife experts and discover practical ways to support wildlife and green spaces in your community. Representatives will be on hand from the Butterfly Conservation Trust, Horncastle Area Group – Swift box makers and Lincolnshire Bat Group along with experts in encouraging hedgehogs into your spaces, Dead-hedge Dave – one of Trust's conservation volunteers and a wildflower meadow expert.
The afternoon programme includes short talks and opportunities for networking:
- Surveying wildlife and getting good quality records with Denise Wheatley from the Spirit of Sutterby
- Tealby village green volunteers and improving local biodiversity with Jane Rylands-Bolton
- Protecting small woodlands and Tree Preservation Orders with local volunteer Sue Nock
- Managing urban site and solutions to problems encountered with Ali Talbot, Green Synergy
- Funding opportunities for community projects with Jodi Raggo, VCS
