Description

Lincolnshire Visitor Economy Shared Vision Workshop

Following on from the successful "Tourism, Heritage and Culture Data Futures" event held at LORIC in April 2019, which was attended by a wide range of stakeholders in the local Visitor Economy, a need for more cohesive working across the Tourism, Heritage Culture and Arts sectors was identified. LORIC will support this drive for joined up working by facilitating a session for any organisation with an interest in the future of the Visitor Economy in Lincoln and Lincolnshire to come together to discuss a model of working that helps all involved to achieve the best they can to increase visitor interest and satisfaction in the area, and therefore boost the local economy.

Who is it for? Organisations in the Tourism, Heritage and Culture Sector Sector.

Do we need to have attended the previous event? Not at all. A summary of the previous event has been made available on LORIC's open data portal, for anyone who wants to catch up on what has been discussed.

Who is it run by? The day will be facilitated by LORIC (the Lincolnshire Open Research and Innovation Centre) in partnership with The Data Place, a data consultancy with Open Data Institute registered trainers.

This is going to cost an arm and a leg, isn't it? The event is free. LORIC is an ERDF-funded project that is committed to offering free support to SMEs in the region. However, places are limited, and are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Is this event accessible? The building has level access, disabled toilets, and a lift. Vegetarian foor is available at the event, and we make every effort to accommodate people with further dietary requirements and allergies.

Please email loric@bishopg.ac.uk if you have any dietary requirements.

LORIC is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and part of Bishop Grosseteste University. The LORIC project is receiving up to £2.1 million of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for ERDF. Established by the European Union, ERDF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.
