Allyson McDermott is arguably one of the world's leading authorities on the conservation and recreation of historic wallpapers. Former Head of Sotheby's Conservation Studio, advisor to the National Trust and Chair of the Historic Interiors Group of ICON, she brings together the rare combination of being a conservator, scientist, historian, designer and artist/maker.
From her Cumbrian studios, she heads a team of talented conservators and designers with whom she has developed stunning wallpaper collections, and is currently preparing to launch her latest range of wallpapers, fabrics and accessories produced in collaboration with the Royal Pavilion, Brighton.
