Description

Link is pleased to invite you to our Annual Debate from 4pm on Monday 4 December at WWF-UK’s Living Planet Centre, Woking.

This year’s debate poses the question:

Global leadership starts at home: How can the UK Government take action on the environment and animal welfare in a post Brexit era?

The UK finds itself at a fork in the road, take the wrong path and our exit from the European Union could be ruinous for our environment and for future generations. Can Britain seize this opportunity to become a global leader on the environment and animal welfare? Or will Britain shirk its responsibilities at home and abroad?

The debate will be chaired by Tanya Steele, Chief Executive at WWF-UK, with an expert panel comprising:

George Monbiot: Guardian columnist, author and environmental and political activist
Juliet Davenport: Chief Executive and Founder of Good Energy
Karla Hill: Programmes Director at Client Earth
Catherine Bearder MEP: Member of the European Parliament for South East England
