Networking meetings of all kinds are great opportunities to reach out to existing and new contacts.
As well as meeting people at the event you can use the meeting topic or theme as a draw to invite others.
In the skills transfer section of this lunch I'll be outlining half a dozen techniques that you could use that leverage the power of LinkedIn including:
- review your current LinkedIn Contacts and invite several personally
- search LinkedIn to find new contacts against your criteria and use the meeting as a reason to call
- add status updates on LinkedIn about the event and who you'd like to invite, and what's in it for them.
