LinkedIn is an excellent way to build and maintain networks and is also a great platform for sharing and discovering content. Many academics have a profile, but aren’t quite sure what to do with it. This practical, hands-on workshop will help you understand the how and why of getting engaged on LinkedIn. Topics to be covered include:
- How to create a compelling LinkedIn profile
- What to include – and exclude – and why
- Managing LinkedIn connection requests
- Who’s viewed your profile and what to do next
- LinkedIn as a personal marketing tool
- Types of content you can add
- How often and what to post
- Building (and declining) connections
- LinkedIn best practice
- Ongoing management of LinkedIn
The workshop will be delivered by Dr Annmarie Hanlon, digital and social media marketing teacher at Cranfield School of Management. Dr Hanlon specialises in the development of digital marketing strategies, with expertise in strategic digital marketing and business management of social media.
Places on this workshop are limited and must be booked in advance using an Aston University email only.
