About LinkedIn Local

LinkedInLocal was founded by Anna McAfee in Australia just last year and is a new global movement in networking that has already spread to over 200 countries. In the UK, it has been spearheaded by Alexandra Galviz (Authentic Alex).

The concept is simple - It's about connecting people. It's not about sales, it's not about marketing, it's about bringing your network off-line and also gain the opportunity to meet new people in your area.

How to use Facebook Events to make Sales

In 2013 Emma relocated back to the UK after 13 years in The Netherlands.

She set up a small, fused glass business but needed to be making sales for all the work that she was creating.

Having 2 small boys and being a single mum, she didn’t want to be leaving her boys and attending craft fairs every weekend.

She didn’t know how to set up a website and didn’t want to be paying huge commissions to 3rd party selling platforms like Etsy

So she looked to social media and in particular Facebook and Facebook Events to start selling her items online

Emma now shows other crafters and artisan businesses how they can do the same using

Social Selling and utilise the power of Facebook and Facebook events to generate leads, sales and cash in the bank.

When she's not creating glass or working with other businesses, you'll find Emma and her beloved dog Reggie running after balls on Cannock Chas
