Lino Print and Stitch Workshop

Come and join Wendy for the day and learn how to design, carve and print your very own lino print illustration and embellish with a creative range of embroidery stitches.

Creating your own design based on a photograph, magazine image, pattern or working from your imagination Wendy will guide you through all stages of lino cutting and printing to produce a beautiful range of prints including one on fabric which you will then learn some creative stitches to enhance your final design even further.

Wendy has worked as an Art & Design teacher for many years both here in Yorkshire and in Beijing. She provides a relaxed and inspirational atmosphere to all her workshops and loves to patiently guide all participants to develop their own style and creativity.

You will finish the day relaxed, with a smile on your face and a great sense of pride in what you have achieved! The workshop includes all the equipment you need. Just bring along some inspirational imagery for your print design. No previous experience required.

Cost: £70 per person - includes all material and equipment usage

The Craft House was established in 2016 in Saltaire by April Chamberlain, who continues to manage the business. Having started in Saltaire, The Craft House is now run from new, larger, premises at 109-111 Main Street, Bingley. We have a lovely ground floor cafe and welcoming workshop spaces on the first floor (reached by stairs with two handrails). We offer a vibrant programme of art, craft and textile workshops and courses for adults, enabling you to develop existing skills as well as try new activities. Working closely with a team of talented artist/maker tutors, we provide expertly-run classes in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. We cater for a range of skill levels, from first-time participants to people with existing skills (including other professional artists and makers looking to develop their techniques). Our emphasis is on encouraging creativity and enjoyment whilst passing on key skills. We also cater for private parties and events - please telephone us or call into the cafe to discuss. Please note that all our events are subject to us achieving minimum booking requirements, as we need to ensure they are commercially viable for our tutors - if we have to cancel an event, we will refund your ticket and give you as much notice as possible.
