Do you live in Newham?
Do you have memories of Canning Town Old Library?
Join us for a hands-on 2-hour lino printing workshop celebrating memories of Canning Town Old Library. Open to ages 16+, the session begins with a 30-minute group discussion exploring experiences and community stories of the library. From these conversations, you’ll be introduced to the heritage of lino printing and guided step by step in designing, carving, and hand-printing your own artwork.
Each participant will create an original print to take home, while also contributing to a collective series of artworks that will form part of the new Heritage Centre in Canning Town, opening in 2026.
The workshop takes place at Crafted Corner, a vibrant makers’ space in Canning Town dedicated to creativity, learning, and connection through crafts, delivered in collaboration with Newham Heritage—a new centre celebrating the history of Newham and local community stories.
No experience is needed—just bring your memories, curiosity, and a willingness to get creative. Come and be part of shaping how Canning Town’s history is remembered.
