Linocut (short course)
Sat 29 October 2016, 11:00 – 16:00 BST
Linocut is a relief printing technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used as the relief surface.
Lino is a beautifully malleable printing surface. It is a very graphic method of producing an image. Designs can be cut, melted, or carved to create a bold and experimental design.
During this course you will learn how to plan your design, cut your block and produce an edition of prints using handmade papers.
All materials and notes are included in the price of this workshop. No previous experience of printmaking is required.
