Event description

Description

Lisa Luxx’s debut spoken word show is a musical and poetic journey that searches for connection in the modern day.
Exploring tech addiction, online insecurities, real-life community and the role of the web in the new landscape of politics.
Written from the perspective of someone who had their first mobile phone at the age of 10 and spent much of her twenties rejecting technology all together.

This is a story of now and tomorrow.
A story of fear and hope.
A story about the web’s role in r/evolution.

Accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Rico. The show was launched at London’s Ace Hotel to a sell-out audience, the show has travelled the UK.

"Her writing is revolutionary" - Guru Jagat

"Blazing bright, razor-sharp, Lisa Luxx dazzles with wild wit and fierce passion." - Jake Arnott

“Lisa Luxx is phenomenal, a poet of guts and heart, she is alive with fire and truth. Her poetry always makes me wish people would wake up, for it is a fact listening to her I’m reminded how much we’ve all been sleeping. These are the songs we sing when we are brave, when we have our eyes open, this work will be remembered long after we are all gone.” - Salena Godden
