This is a Taster Session for anyone interested in the Listen In My Shoes project. Come along to hear about this exciting audio arts project exploring how safe women feel walking around Luton. Trial an exercise from the workshops and ask any questions you have about the project.
Whether you are a woman aged 18-30 looking to join our online creative workshops, someone with an interest in this topic or you would like to hear how you can support the project through our social media campaign: Show Your Shoes. All are welcome!
About The Project
Walks were a common theme throughout the last year but how safe do young women feel walking around Luton?
This exciting audio arts project for women aged 18-30 explores this key question and the way walking can be a tool for both wellbeing and change-making. Participants will take part in creative online workshops and professional recording sessions, with the opportunity to be a part of the Hope In A Box Mixtape.
About The Artist
Lizzy Fretwell is a writer, performer and theatre maker based in Luton. She believes the arts are a tool to connect communities and start important conversations. Her audio arts project, ‘We’ve Chosen Here’ explored places in Luton that spark memories of lost loved ones (https://soundcloud.com/user-425713365).
