Discover the hidden soundscapes of Barton Hill! Join us for this free workshop that tunes you into the voices of nature in your neighbourhood. In the first session, you’ll practice active listening, learn how to record urban wild sounds and uncover the rich ecological life woven into the city. In the second, you’ll playfully transform these recordings into imaginative music compositions with the guidance of experts.
No musical or technical experience needed—just curiosity and openness! Together we’ll explore how sound connects us to the natural world, inspires creativity and builds community. If you are musical and have an instrument, please feel free to bring it along.
Come listen, create and reimagine Bristol’s relationship with its non-human neighbours.

NB - This event is most suitable for 18+ years. Parents and carers are welcome to bring children with them, but request that you understand we have limited spaces.
