What can I expect?

In this 90-minute listening session, everyone's voice is valued and valid. We recognise that none of us is perfect, we are vulnerable, and we need space to process our thoughts so that we may find connection to ourselves, others and the wider world. We will begin with a short mindful exercise.

Can I come a bit late?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately not. In order to create our powerful, safe and respectful listening space, we will create agreements together in the first few minutes - and all participants need to be present for that. So please be on time or your place will be forfeit. Thank you for your understanding.

Question 3

Is this confidential?

Accepted Answer

In each session we will design our listening circle agreement, including what confidentiality means for this group. There is no legal commitment: instead, this is about honouring our word to each other as human beings. (NB Illegal or life-harming/threatening disclosures are not held as confidential)

Question 4

What do I need to bring/prepare?

Accepted Answer

Please ensure you are seated or stood still in a quiet space where you can have your microphone and camera on and will not be disturbed for 1.5h. You may choose to light a candle or bring a pen and paper to make notes on your own experience, but please do not make notes on anyone else's experience.

Where will I find this session on the day?

This online session will be delivered via Zoom (link sent by email). If you have not used Zoom before, please download the software well in advance. If you haven't used it recently, you may also need to run an update, so we recommend you build in extra time for that. But it will be worth it!
