In today’s 24/7 world of constant busyness and information overload, anxiety has become a common companion for many—whether formally diagnosed or not. At times, it can feel overwhelming, even defining who we are. Both collective and individual traumas shape our thoughts, influence our decisions, and affect our sense of self in ways we may not always realise.
This 90-minute face-to-face session offers a compassionate, grounded space to better understand anxiety—not as an enemy, but as a messenger. Together, we’ll explore how trauma (both individual and societal) shapes our responses, and what we can do to reconnect with calm, clarity, and agency.
🔍 What we’ll cover:
· How trauma and anxiety show up in our minds, bodies, and behaviours
· The link between chronic stress, inflammation, and long-term physical and mental health
· Key foundations for healing: sleep, rest, nutrition, movement, connection, and self-compassion
· Somatic exercises to gently release stored tension and trauma (with techniques from Kate Avery & Eloise Reed)
· Practical ways to bring care, awareness, and spaciousness into daily life
💬 This session is for anyone ready to understand anxiety differently—and respond with awareness rather than survival habits.
Through gentle mind–body practices and compassionate exploration, discover what your anxiety is trying to tell you. We will use grounded self-care, trauma-informed insights and somatic techniques to help you release tension, restore clarity, and reconnect with the calm at your core.
This event will be informal and inclusive to all, please feel free to arrive anytime from 6:30 p.m. tea/coffee/soft drinks available to buy, or stay after to connect.
