The Lit Lab LondonTM is the UK’s first and only “Science and Sip”.  It’s a black-owned, intimate and immersive pop-up where guests conduct adult science experiments in a battle against other scientists.

Anyone! At the Lit Lab we want to help you reconnect with science, and help science make more sense for Londoners. Get ready to socialise, experiment, and vibe to good music.

Please note that this is an over 18’s event. No guests will be permitted without valid ID.

What will you do at the Lit Lab?

In this exclusive, immersive event, you will be transformed into a scientist with a professor name and all the gear. You will create exciting drinks, conduct science experiments, and compete in challenges against other scientists.

What kind of experiments will I do at the Lit Lab?

Accepted Answer

The experiments are simple home activities that have been enlarged in scale. Experiments range from creating mini explosions to extracting DNA and more! No science credentials needed, you bring the curiosity and we'll bring the vibes.

Is it safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We supply disposable safety gear for free, including laboratory coats, gloves and safety goggles. For the safety of all guests we require lab coats, gloves and goggles to be worn during all experimentation. Any chemicals used are food grade and commonly used at home.

Question 6

Are the experiments safe to do under the influence of alcohol?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Here's why: No unsafe materials or equipment will be used. Experiments are easy to understand and do not require extensive critical thinking skills that would inhibit you from completing each experiment. Lab Assistants will be there to help guide you, and ensure any safety rules are followed.

Is it safe to drink in a laboratory?

The Lit Lab London TM is neither a real laboratory nor located in a laboratory. It is a laboratory themed event where the consumption of alcohol is permitted (unlike a real lab where eating and drinking is not permitted).
