Description

Now in its sixth year, Literature Caerleon again presents the cream of contemporary Welsh writing. Not only are there several authors and poets during the day but also, for the first time, an evening programme featuring, two unique poets, observers and debunkers both of the status quo.

Adrian Masters - bibliophile and ITV Wales Political Editor - on hand throughout, to help guide proceedings.



Daytime Programme-Authors & Poets- Derek Johns, Kate Hamer, Cynan Jones, Tom Bullough, Mab Jones

Daytime Programme - 11.00am. - 17.30 pm.

Evening Programme - Performance & Poets - Attila the Stockbroker, Patrick Jones.

Evening Programme - 19.30pm. - 22.30 pm.




Derek Johns - 20 years Jan Morris's lterary agent, wrote a recent biography to coincide with her 90th. birthday.

Kate Hamer - her novel The Girl in the Red Coat was a no.3 Sunday Times bestseller, shortlisted for 4 awards.

Cynan Jones - his novel The Long Dry was a winner of a Betty Trask award.

Tom Bullough - author of 4 books, currently a visiting Fellow of the University of South Wales.

Mab Jones -author of 2 books,Take Your Experience and Peel It won the Geoff Stevens Memorial Poetry Prize.



Attila the Stockbroker - has created numerous CDs/LPs/books of poetry and tours as a sharp tongued radical social realist performance poet and singer.

Patrick Jones - considered one of Wales' most resonant poets and playwrights, his play Eyerything Must Go was appropriated by Manic Street Preachers for the title of thier 4th. album.
