About this event

Driver Youth Trust are on a mission to equip teaching professionals with the skills, knowledge and strategies to better support learners with literacy difficulties, dyslexia and SEND.

Designed and delivered by our expert consultants, DYT's 'Literacy difficulties: supporting the teaching of reading in Key Stage 2' webinar will help you to understand the barriers (and their causes) to reading that many learners face and discover inclusive and accessible strategies for supporting literacy difficulties, dyslexia and/or SEND in Key Stage 2.

This session is ideal for teachers, SENCos and higher-level teaching assistants who work directly with learners with literacy difficulties, dyslexia and/or SEND. We also recommend it to senior leaders looking to implement inclusive practice across their workforce.

  • Strategies, frameworks and tools: discussing and reviewing a range of strategies for supporting learners with barriers to reading comprehension.

  • A deeper knowledge of reading comprehension and literacy difficulties.
  • A clearer understanding of your class's reading strengths and barriers to learning, especially for those with literacy difficulties.
