What will this course cover?

This course will delve into the beloved stories of Beatrix Potter, examining her writing, illustrations and the timeless characters she created. We will also look at the historical and cultural context of her work and why her stories remain so enduring.

What will I get out of this course?

You will develop a deeper understanding of Potter's literary and artistic contributions, learn to appreciate the themes within her stories and gain insights into how children's literature can reflect cultural values.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills or experience?

This course welcomes all levels - no prior knowledge is necessary. Just bring an interest in literature and a willingness to engage with the class.

What do I need to bring with me?

No equipment is needed for this course, aside for enthusiasm and a love for stories. You may wish to bring a notebook and pen to write down your thoughts.
