We believe in the healing power of being outside and each week there is an outdoor activity, a craft table (inside) as well as songs led by the facilitator Jenny. The session is free flow and will be adapted to suit the group size on the day.

Parents often say this is a really relaxing and chilled time for them, and the children love exploring on the outdoor scuttlebugs and other toys, as well as getting involved in the activites.

Past activites have included: making fairy houses, nature sticks, nature tombola, making bird feeders, toy car wash, mud kitchen, scavenger hunts, sound scavenger hunt, explorer expeditions, colours in nature, flag making, big art, natural paint brushes and many more.

Come with the right clothing to be outside - and often its the parents who need to tog up more than the kids!

Frequently asked questions

Is there free parking on site?

Not onsite, but there is tonnes of free street parking along Claremont road (you park on the pavement) or in the Golders Green Estate estate that runs parallel to the park - there is a side entrance to the Playing Fields that you can use if you park down there.

How do I find you?

We are located in the corner of Clitterhouse Playing Fields, Claremont Road, London, NW2 1AP Get directions on Google Maps HERE https://www.google.com/maps The main entrance is through a metal pedestrian ‘kissing gate' entrance located off Claremont Road. https://www.ouryard.org/contact

Can I get there on public transport?

Yes. Bus: C11, 189, and 102 serve the nearest stop (Clitterhouse Road South), just a minute away on Claremont Road. Train: Brent Cross West or Cricklewood - Thameslink. Tube: Brent Cross or Golders Green - Northern Line.

I love the space - can I hire it for a party?

Yes - please email us and we can discuss cultivate@clitterhouse.com

Who facilitates the Little Critters sessions?

Jenny does- hello! I'm very friendly.

Is it really free if I don't have money?

Yes, no questions asked. Sometimes cash flow is short one month, or longer and this should not stop you and you child coming and enjoying the time together. Don't shame yourself out of it - I partly started the stay n play because I was struggling to meet the costs of other playgroups.
