About this event

Join us for a rare opportunity to explore the historic spaces of Leah's Yard, a pillar of Sheffield's rich industrial history. Led by Philip Drury, former owner of F Drury & Sons Silversmiths, and the last industrial occupant of the building, step into the preserved spaces that tell the story of the city's industrial past.

In small groups of up to 6 people visitors will explore original workshop areas from the original silversmith room of Drury & Sons to where the steels were buffed - all spaces that still bear the marks of Sheffield's Little Mesters and metalworking trades. You'll also get to walk the heritage staircase, a beautifully restored heritage feature that connects the Yard's layered industrial history.

Leah's Yard, once home to horn dealers, silver stampers, platers and cutlers, remains a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of Sheffield's working community. Now revitalised as a space for modern makers and independent business, the building bridges past and future.

This tour offers a powerful and personal insight into the life of the Yard, not just as a building, but as a hub of craft, trade and legacy. Don't miss this chance to explore spaces not usually open to the public and hear first-hand stories from the man who locked its doors at the close of its industrial chapter.

Please note that due to the limited number of tickets available there is a maximum of 2 tickets per order, duplicate orders will be cancelled. Please do not book unless you are sure you can attend.
