Little Pictures and Clanimation – Screening, Info Session and Q&A
Join us at GMAC for a chance to learn more about Little Pictures, a short film comissioning scheme for new and emerging filmamkers - including those interested in animation.
Little Pictures is looking for people aged 18 and over who are interested in writing, directing or producing films and are yet to receive their first short film commission. The programme is designed to support new filmmakers to develop their skills and encourage participants to take creative risks to inform their voice in filmmaking.
For this session, we're collaborating with Clanimation, and will be screening two animated shorts from previous Little Pictures years:
I Miss Hugs (dir. Ana Songel, produced by Kirsty Houston)
First Contact (dir. James Crang, produced by Alexander Popa)
After the screening, we'll be sharing information on how to apply, what support is available. You'll have the chance to ask questions to the filmmakers themselves about their experiences and meet others interested in applying.
Whether you’re just starting out in animation or already creating your own work, we encourage you to come along and find out more.
Programme Access notes:
- All films have English Audio, and English language descriptive subtitles
Venue Accessibility:
- Our space has capacity for one wheelchair user at any given time. If this applies to you, please let us know when you plan on visiting so that we can ensure you are able to access the space comfortably and safely. Our email is hello@gmacfilm.com.
- There are two lifts to gain access to GMAC on 5th floor.
- In the unlikely event of a fire, both lifts will be out of use, and everyone will exit the building via five flights of stairs. If a disabled person is in the building and cannot evacuate using the stairs, the fire rescue team will be called immediately to recover them.
- You can use our access form to let us know what adjustments or support we can provide to ensure you can take part.
- We recognise that our space is not as accessible as we would like it to be. With this in mind, please know that we are reviewing our next steps towards a more accessible experience for all.
