Event Information
About this Event
I will be offering two full-day online drawing sessions in March. Each session will be accessible via Zoom and open to people with all levels of experience in making arts and crafts. Beginners are encouraged to join.
We will begin the day making landscape models using objects and fabrics (t-shirts, tea towels etc.) that can be found around the house. This will be followed by a series of small drawing exercises and a guided meditation; to help us gain a better immediate understanding of the little world we have made.
We will explore a brief history of the contemporary landscape, and take part in friendly group discussions along the way. Each participant will receive a one-to-one tutorial with the tutor via breakout rooms. In the afternoon we will bring all that we have learnt together, to produce a more informed drawing/painting.
This is a hands on practical day and is designed to expand how we can better utilise our imagination. If you have a photograph or a video of your favourite landscape, please do bring this to the session. This could be an image of a past trip, or a place that one day you would like to visit.
Upon booking, you will receive a fact sheet with more information on what to expect, how to access the class, and a list of recommended materials. This list is not extensive, as these classes are made to be accessible.
