About this event

Music • Blues

Ricky Cool and the In Crowd serve up a gorgeous musical gumbo, similar to the sounds heard in the clubs of Soho in the early years of Mod mania.

Be prepared for a wonderful evening’s entertainment, celebrating musical styles that have become synonymous with the very best in popular music. You will hear Jamaican Ska and Bluebeat, plus some Rhythm and Blues, and Soul, delivered in the Band’s own inimitable style.

Classics by the likes of Ray Charles, Ken Boothe, Booker T and the MG’s, Toots and the Maytals are mixed with original numbers to create a toe tapping musical experience, guaranteed to have you itching to dance.

As well as fronting his own Bands, Ricky has gigged with Robert Plant as part of The Honeydrippers. He has worked with Billy Connolly, The Kinks, Dire Straits and shared the stage with George Harrison at the N.E.C. He is recognised as one of this country’s top harmonica players and one of the most entertaining frontmen in the music business.

The In Crowd are all top class musicians with excellent pedigrees, who have worked with artists including Ruby Turner, The Beat, Carina Round, Linda Perry and Fine Young Cannibals. As Ricky says, “The music we play is timeless and our show is enjoyed by young and old alike. The enjoyment we have on stage rubs off on our audience and a great time is had by one and all.”
