Live Cookery Demonstration - Springtime Treats

Join u3a members and roving Chef Alex from ‘Vegetarian for Life’ for Springtime Treats live cookery demonstration from Chef Alex’s kitchen. Alex will be showing us how to make 3 recipes that not only look good taste good but are also vegan.

Alex will begin with the Hazelnut rich and luxurious chocolate truffles. A decadent, roasted hazelnut smothered in dark chocolate. The perfect treat for all occasions, not just Springtime!.

Alex will move onto the Vegetable Korma. Officially, korma is the nation’s favourite curry. This will be finished off nicely with a delicious lemon meringue pie.

Biography:

Alex joins us from Vegetarian for Life a charity that supports older vegetarians and vegans. Under normal times he along with the other chefs in the team would be training chefs, catering staff, managers, carers, families and of course older vegetarians too. Previous to working for Vegetarian for Life Alex was the Principal Tutor at The Vegetarian Society Cookery School. Alex developed recipes, trained chefs and inspiring chefs and home cooks in a range of culinary skills and cuisines.
