We’re trying something new for learners during Get Online Week!

Based on suggestions from members of our network, we’ll be hosting LIVE Youtube events aimed at the people you support. These short, live online events can be streamed on a screen to a group of learners to help introduce a topic before a group discussion. We’ll provide a guide to help facilitate this.

Session 2: How to find affordable internet for your home

This short session by our learning designer Michael will cover different options for getting connected to the internet at home and finding the right offer for you, including social tariffs, comparison websites and the National Databank.

What do I need to host a session with learners?

A venue
A screen with internet connection and speakers
An audience
Time before the session to get people settled in
Time after the live stream to talk about the topic

What do I need to do to get involved?

Sign up on Eventbrite for the event you would like to stream to get the joining link and supporting resources one day
Register your event for learners on the Get Online Week website to appear on the map

Tell us how many people were in your group

What if I can’t host a viewing event?

If you can’t hold a group viewing, why not share the link with your learners for them to join separately.

Share the live stream link with your learners through any appropriate channels: Facebook group, Whatsapp group, Newsletters
