Our Live Lesson Visits are designed for Headteachers, Senior Leaders, and Reading Leaders who are keen to see high-quality Phonics and Early Reading practice in action. These sessions offer the opportunity to observe effective teaching and leadership of reading, and to reflect on what successful implementation looks like when one Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SSP) programme is delivered with fidelity and consistency.
What to Expect During the Morning:
- Observe high-quality phonics and early reading lessons in Reception and Year 1
- Watch targeted ‘keep up’ intervention
- Explore best practice in teaching
- Gain practical insights into leading the successful implementation of your SSP
- Consider the strategic implications and whole-school impact
- Hear key messages and leadership guidance from the English Hub team
This is an excellent opportunity to reflect on current provision, refine your school’s approach, and ensure your leadership is driving the best possible outcomes for children.
