This event celebrates the power of movement in helping older adults, especially those living Dementia to stay active, independent and socially connected by having the opportunity to try different physical activty taster sessions!
With over 14,600 people aged 65+ in Hertfordshire currently living with Dementia (a number expected to rise significantly by 2030), this event provides a much-needed space for connection, inspiration and wellbeing.
What to expect:
- A wide range of fun, accessible taster sessions including chair yoga, indoor bowls, walking sports, singing, seated cricket and much more.
- The ability to come and go at your convenience.
- A welcoming, inclusive environment focused on physical activity, social interaction, and cognitive health.
- An opportunity to meet local community groups and discover resources and support services tailored for those living with Dementia.

Whether you're living with Dementia or supporting someone who is, this day is designed to uplift, empower and celebrate the benefits of staying active together.

- A refillable water bottle (fountain facilities available)
- Comfortable clothing and supportive footwear
- All activity equipment will be provided on the day

By train
- Take the train to Ware Train Station. From here it is a 1.6 mile walk or you can take the 331 bus from the Hertford Regional College stop to Wodson Park.
By bus
- You can take the 331 or 384 bus from from the Hertford Regional College stop to Wodson Park.
Alternatively, you can take the slower Ware Circular (M2) from Ware Railway Station to Amberley Green. From here head east on Quincey Road toward Amberley Green, turn left onto Wadesmill Rd/A1170 and walk for two minutes until you reach Wodson Park.
