CONFERENCE PANEL INFORMATION - SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE TO GAIN AND DIGEST

Grants, Gigs & Growth: How to Fund Your Creative Projects

Independent artists, grassroots promoters, and creative organisations are the heartbeat of music culture, but access to funding remains a challenge. This panel brings together representatives from major funding organisations to break down how their programmes work, who they’re for, and how you can strengthen your next application. No fluff, just real guidance from the people who review and support funding proposals every day.

Mind Over Music: Protecting Your Mental Health in the Industry

From burnout and breakdowns to boundaries and balance, this panel explores how independent artists and music professionals can sustainably build a life in music without sacrificing mental health. Get real tools, resources, and perspectives to help make wellbeing a non-negotiable part of your career plan.

No Label, No Limits: Navigating the Music Industry as an Indie

No two paths are the same, but the struggle is real. In this session, hear from independent artists and professionals who’ve navigated the ups, downs, and pivots of building a career without a label. Learn from their missteps, milestones, and lessons you won’t find on YouTube.

From Inbox to Impact: How Artists & Bookers Build Careers Together

Whether you're an independent artist trying to get booked, or a future booker, promoter, or agent trying to build your lineup, this panel breaks down what both sides actually need. Learn how to pitch, evaluate talent, build relationships, and create live opportunities that grow real careers.

Managing the Journey: Artists, Managers and Growing Together

Whether you’re an artist, producer, or manager just getting started or already years into your career, this panel unpacks one of the most important (and misunderstood) relationships in the music industry: the artist, manager dynamic. When do you know it’s time to find a manager? What makes a good one? How do you work together and grow as a team? Perfect for independent artists, self-managed creatives, and managers building their rosters.

From Catalog to Placement: Building Sync Opportunities

From Netflix shows to global ad campaigns, sync placements are reshaping careers. This panel brings together sync specialists and experienced professionals to guide managers and self-managed artists through the process. Discover how to organise and deliver music for sync, how to pitch without spamming, and how to protect your rights while landing opportunities that matter.

Amplified: Building Buzz with Radio Hosts, Journalists & Curators

Getting support from radio and press isn’t just about promotion, it’s about trust, timing, and knowing how to tell your story. This session breaks down how independent artists can get featured in blogs, playlists, radio shows, and interviews, with practical insight from presenters, journalists, and other media professionals who play a vital role in getting new music heard.

AI Is Here - Now What?

AI isn't coming, it's already here. Whether you're a producer, performer, manager or label exec, this panel explores how artists and music professionals can harness AI tools without losing the human touch. Learn what’s possible, what’s ethical, and how to stay ahead of the curve instead of under it.

Beyond the Binary: Navigating the Music Industry as LGBTQ+ Creatives

Being LGBTQ+ in music isn’t just about visibility, it’s about access, safety, and the freedom to thrive. This panel brings together queer artists and industry pros to discuss the real challenges and wins in today’s music scene, and how we can build a truly inclusive future. What does real allyship look like? From managers to venues, we’ll explore how the industry can go beyond performative pride to lasting, structural change.

Beyond the Music: Branding Identity, Image & Collaborations

Branding goes way beyond a logo, it’s how you’re seen, felt, and remembered. This panel brings together artists, visual creatives, and brand reps to unpack what makes a strong artist identity, how to develop it visually and creatively, and how to build meaningful partnerships with brands. Whether you’re thinking about your first campaign or levelling up your look, this session helps you shape a brand that reflects you.

The Music Marketing Mix: Social media, PR & Beyond

Today’s hits are born both on social media platform, such as Tik tok and in the press. This panel unpacks how independent artists can make the most of both worlds: the immediacy of social media and the credibility of PR and marketing. With voices from digital platforms and pr/marketing agencies, you’ll get practical strategies for building momentum, pitching your story, and turning viral moments into lasting success.
