About this Event

SF Said's first book, Varjak Paw, won the Smarties Prize for Children's Literature. The sequel, The Outlaw Varjak Paw, won the Blue Peter Book Of The Year. His third book, Phoenix, represented the UK on the IBBY International Honour Book List, was shortlisted for the Guardian Children's Fiction Award, and nominated for both the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals. All three books are currently being taught widely in classrooms around the country, and SF will be talking about them all, and his journey from being a young reader to an award-winning writer.

Liverpool Children’s Festival of Reading is bringing a wide range of author events to schools across the city. Each school is invited to bring up to 30 pupils to a session. Booking for schools in the nearby locality of the venues will be open until Friday 26th April. After this date, any remaining places will be offered out to all schools.

Please enter the number of pupils (maximum 30) you plan to bring on the booking form. You do not need to include adult numbers.

Within a few weeks of receiving your booking, we will send you a confirmation pack featuring details of your session, learning resources, activity ideas and a risk assessment.
