Description

What it's about

The Liverpool Evidence Synthesis Network (Liven) aims to create opportunities for staff and students to share learning and engage with each other on any aspect of evidence synthesis methods or application.

The term ‘rapid review’ is used to describe many different types of reviews, and we are interested in agreeing what ‘rapid’ means for our work. As part of our consensus project we have organised for two leading review methodologists to share their experiences of developing rapid review methods. The Liven working group will present the results of a scoping search designed to identify methods papers on rapid reviews.

The workshop will be used as a forum for agreeing – as a network – a format for more timely, and lower resource-intensive, systematic reviews for use in specific circumstances.

One of our speakers, Jon Brassey says, “…evidence synthesis, is a continuum, with no cliff edge between rapid and systematic.”
