Liverpool Green Networking event
Tue 20 September 2016, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
Come and join us for a healthy conversations and informal networking with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere at our popular Liverpool health and wellbeing-focused networking event.
This monthly initiative is an informal opportunity for health and wellness lifestyle entrepreneurs and enthusiasts to meet, chat, network, collaborate and grow your business.
Each month there is a guest speaker invited to give the group some useful 'insider' information and share advice on a particular subject of health and wellbeing.
Speaker: Dr. Paul Myers, the co-founder and managing director of Farm Urban.
Paul's Doctorate at the University of Liverpool had a particular interest in genetic research called “epigenetics.” He discovered that the choices we make over the course of our lifetime can actually alter the way some of our genes are expressed. With simple, transformational practices we can enhance our health and vitality. His message is clear and powerful and will change the way you look at food and your environment.
Paul’s research clearly pointed to the damaging effects of enviromental conditions on our health. Empowered by this knowledge Paul felt compelled to establish eco startup Farm Urban, a research lead community focused social enterprise. Farm Urban uses aquaponic and hydroponic food production systems to engage and inspire people to connect with their environment, explore their relationship with food, and empower them to make positive and informed choices. Paul’s time is currently split between Farm Urban and his academic research at the University of Liverpool.”
The September event takes place at the newly refurbished Hotel Indigo. This contemporary hotel is set a 5-minute walk from Liverpool James Street train station. Our guests will be offered a 40% discount voucher if they want to stay for a dinner at the Marco Pierre White restaurant.
