Liverpool Horror Fest 2015 is a full day of horror shenanigans!
Doors open at 12midday and will be running through until 12 midnight. There will be Q&A sessions throughout the day, as well as signings, stalls, cosplay competition, and Horrortalk's 'Big Fat Scary Quiz'. Also, Grub Radio will be broadcasting live from RatAlley all day long.
Guests include horror author Ramsey Campbell, Grimmfest's Simeon Halligan, and the female cenobite from HellraiserII: Barbie Wilde! We also have horror writer Paul Kane, FX artist from Shaun of the Dead Stuart Conran, and star of The Human Centipede 2 & 3 Laurence R Harvey!!
Once we hit 7.30pm, as the evening draws in (and the youngsters have gone home!) we fall under the watchful eye of our evening's compère, Rev. Dick Crypt. In his charge, the entertainment gets rowdy with risqué-poetry from Foxy Sweetshop, an improv séance from the raucous Impropriety, fire dancers and a horror quiz. We will also be showcasing the notorious musical talents of Dick Limerick Apocalypse, featuring battlerap legend OShea. Followed by 8bit horrorpunk DJ Tommy Creep, and the evening will be headlined by local undead legends, Zombina and the Skeletones!
Hell yeah! \m/,
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
The daytime (12-6pm) is not age restricted - however, bear in mind this is a horror festival, so there will undoubtedly be sights and sounds occuring that are unsuitable for children. Common sense and parental discretion is advised.
The evening portion of the event (7pm onwards) is age restricted to over 18s only - ID will be required.
Is there a dress code?
Nope. There is no dress code, however, we encourage everyone to let their inner horror fanatic shine!
There will be a Cosplay competition happening during the day, and we also expect the evening's revellers to be adorned in their most horrific finery or lathered with copious amounts of blood!
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The venue is in a city centre location - within 10 minutes from Lime Street Station and 5 minutes from Liverpool One.
There is parking available at £6per day on Duke St (though it fills up early on a saturday), there is also meter parking and NCP within a few minutes of the venue.
Will I receive a physical ticket?
No, sorry - this is a digital booking service only.
You will receive a confirmation email with your order reference. Please bring a copy of this and ID with you when you come to the event.
Can I buy a physical ticket?
Yes! We have physical tickets available (and they look amazing!).
Much like the online booking, you can buy a DAYTIME ticket or a NIGHT TIME ticket. Or if you want to come to the entire event, you buy both. Simples
Tickets are available from two locations in Liverpool:
LevelUp Comics, Downstairs in Quiggans, Renshaw Street.
The Scythe & Teacup Gamer Café, Kempston St. off London Road
Will I be able to pay on the door?
If venue capacity is available, then you will be able to pay on the door.
However, we would advise prebooking online or buying tickets in advance to avoid disappointment on the day.
I am interested in having a traders stall at the event…
We are very sorry but we don’t have any trade spaces remaining available.
If any last minute spots become available we will put out a notice via our facebook page.
Is there an age restriction during the daytime?
There is no minimum age limit for the daytime event – however, we would advise parental discretion.
There will be sights and sounds that will be scary to some children (and adults). The content of Q&A panels will inevitably include discussion of adult themes which are commonplace the horror genre. Also, while we are not screening any movies, there may be the use of trailers and clips which some attendees could find upsetting.
CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES.
The evening (7pm onwards) is strictly over 18+. ID will be required.
