About this event

A social group for LGBTQ+ over 50s to gather together to meet people, visit exciting places and learn new skills

A new free social group for LGBTQ+ people aged over 50 to gather together to meet people, visit exciting places and learn new skills at different venues across Liverpool.

This group will meet once a month, with additional special events across the year. Days and locations will vary. Please see events calendar at lgbt.foundation/events for all upcoming sessions.

Pride Quiz

Friday 18th July1-3pm, Liverpool Central Library, booking required

In July we will be meeting at Liverpool Central Library and there will be a chance to test your general knowledge with our fun Pride Quiz, just ahead of Liverpool Pride taking place towards the end of the month!

As always the session will include tea, coffee and cake.

Rainbow Arts Trail Manchester Visit

Tuesday 26th August 1.30-4pm

In August we will be travelling from Liverpool to Manchester to see LGBT Foundation’s ’50 Years of Queer Hope & Joy’ exhibition and ‘Rainbow Arts Trail’ across the City Centre. If you would prefer not to walk the Rainbow Arts Trail during the last hour of the event there will be an option to visit Manchester Art Gallery which is fully accessible and has seating available.

The group will meet at Manchester Piccadilly Station at 1.30pm. This station has quick rail connections to Liverpool Stations and parking nearby. You can chose to make your way to the meeting point yourself or travel on the same train from Liverpool as the rest of the group and facilitators (ticket holders will receive information about which trains we are travelling on). The event will end at Manchester Piccadilly Station at 4pm.

As always the session will include tea, coffee and cake.

Session timetable:

1.30pm Meet at Piccadilly Station (exact meeting point to be confirmed with ticketholders)

1.35-1.45pm Tram travel from Manchester Piccadilly Station to St Peter’s Square (10 minutes)

1.45pm Walk from St Peter’s Square Tram Stop to Manchester Central Library (2 minutes)

1.50-2.20pm Visit to ’50 Years of Queer Hope and Joy’ Exhibition at Manchester Central Library

2.20-3.00 Tea, coffee and cake at Manchester Central Library Cafe

3.00-4.00 Walking tour of Rainbow Arts Trail ending at Piccadilly Station OR Visit to Manchester Art Gallery (5 minutes walk from Central Library) and tram travel back to Piccadilly Station

4.00 Trip ends at Manchester Piccadilly Station

Note: Your Manchester tram travel and tea, coffee and cake at Manchester Central Library will be paid for as part of your free ticket for this event.
