Join us for a compelling talk by Ocavia Tam, curator at the National Portrait Gallery, as she introduces Lives in Motion: Stories of migration from the 11th century to the present day —an exhibition of 51 portraits celebrating people who have migrated to the UK and shaped its cultural landscape.

Dr Tam will share insights into the National Portrait Gallery’s National Programmes, the curatorial process, and the powerful stories behind the portraits. The talk will be followed by a guided tour, spotlighting selected sitters and the journeys that brought them here.

An accessible entrance can be found on Best Lane, a platform lift brings you to the ground floor, where a passenger lift can take you to floor 1, where the talk will be. This talk includes a tour through a gallery, that is wheelchair user friendly.

There is no parking on site. Accessible parking is available on Orange Street Car park (CT1 2JA), Free for Blue badge holders only -Maximum stay 4 hours, 9am to 6pm.
