Actions and Detail Panel

For individuals who are open to exploring and improving their own health and wellbeing as well as strengthening their personal resilience.

About this event

This 2 hour free and fully interactive online course is available to staff members of the Integrated Care System, not for profit charities and organisations in Dorset. This course will help delegates to gain an understanding of the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ with an opportunity to reflect on your personal stressors and developing healthy coping strategies to build resilience .

For most, it acts as a useful reminder to consider their own wellbeing. It will also prompt those with little or no previous knowledge to consider how the ‘5 Ways’ can be applied to their own life. Additionally, it could be useful for practitioners who may need to support others during wellbeing conversations by giving delegates the knowledge to identify and recognise healthy boundaries whilst offering tools and techniques to develop resilience. It will also help identify unhealthy coping strategies.

Learning objectives:

• Learn how we can recognise our stressors and identify where we can take control to build our resilience

• Develop new boundaries to build in positive stress-management strategies.

• Know the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ and discuss how the Five Ways can be applied as a framework for wellbeing

• Learn about some basic tools that can be used to support the process of making positive changes

• Develop an Action Plan outlining how you will utilize or build on your learning from today
