Living Leadership - ISH Toolbox
Mon 22 May 2017, 18:30 – 21:00 BST
Workshop Title: Living Leadership
Workshop Cost: FREE
Traditionally, it has been thought that leadership is for those holding top roles in hierarchical organisations, teams and communities. Leadership, the view goes, is for those more senior in age and more experienced in their careers. But the truth is that leadership is needed in pretty much every part of life. And the emotional intelligence, confidence and strategic thinking that leadership requires are beneficial to parts of life that we might not even recognise as being related to leadership. Cultivating the skills it takes to lead will help you simply make better decisions, be more resilient and progress through life with confidence.
This session deflates the view that leadership is only important if you are in a particular role, and helps students find ways to benefit from embedding leadership skills throughout their lives.
The final session in the 2016/17 ISH leadership programme, this session draws together key points from previous workshops, but will also benefit students who have not attended any or all prior sessions.
This session is part of the ISH Student Toolbox - a programme of free personal development workshops
