Frequently asked questions

Where is St Mary's Church?

St Mary’s Church is inside the Watford ring road and very accessible by public transport, cycle or walking.

How do I get to St Mary's by car?

The church is accessible via Service Roads off the ring road. There is no parking outside the church on Saturdays unless you have a blue-badge in which case there are spaces opposite the forecourt. Instead please use the Church Car Park accessible from the ring road and close to the church.

How accessible is the church to wheelchairs and mobility scooters

Our Church is fully accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters as is the Church Centre apart from the Upper Room which is accessed via stairs only. Toilets and washing facilities, including for disabled people, are located in the Church Centre.

What are my public transport options?

There are very good train services to Watford Junction (20 mins walk) and Watford High Street Station (10 mins walk). The Watford Metropolitan Line Station is 30mins walk through Cassiobury Park via the Town Hall a pedestrian underpass leading to the pedestrianised High Street.

How about buses?

Buses run either up the High Street or along Exchange Road and Beechen Grove, and all stops are no more than 5 minutes walk to the church.

Can you cycle to St Mary's?

Cycling is the fastest way to St Marys and Beryl Bikes can be hired at all stations and many other sites throughout town and there is a pickup/drop-off site next to the steps onto the High Street by the church. St Mary’s has 5 spaces for bikes just inside the West (Clock Tower) door.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring your Eventbrite ticket as we will be scanning tickets on entry.
