Mindfulness has been getting a lot of positive press recently, and for good reason. There is more evidence coming out all the time about the benefits of mindfulness.

Mindfulness has been shown to

  • Reduce anxiety
  • Promote better sleep

  • Help with Chronic pain

Living mindfully is an 8 week mindfulness based stress reduction course.

This Living Mindfully course is not about positive thinking, relaxation techniques, going into a trance or trying to blank your mind. It is a course that introduces Mindfulness as a secular practice that brings great benefit to the quality of our everyday life. The simple attention and relaxation techniques are prove to promote better sleep, reduce depression, anxiety and chronic pain. It is the beginning of making friends, and establishing a long lasting relationship with ourselves. By living mindfully, we pay attention on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally and with an openness that gently allows us to recognise our habits, our preferences and our impulses so that we are able to step back and see that we have other choices not just the same old tape running!

This 8 week course introduces some of the key elements of mindfulness where we can begin to foster an understanding and kindness to ourselves through a variety of formal and informal practices.

The course starts on Wenesday 27th September and runs for 8 weeks every Wednesday evening.
