🌟 Living Wage Funders celebration breakfast 🌟

2025 marks ten years of the Living Wage Funders scheme. From humble beginnings, we now have over 80 Living Wage Funders across the UK.

But there's plenty more to do. Around a quarter of entry-level charity jobs are still paid less than the real Living Wage, and working-class people are less likely to get jobs in the charity sector than in the public or private sectors.

How can funders work strategically to address these issues? We're excited to invite you to an inspiring and thought-provoking morning in the heart of East London, where you'll have the opportunity to explore these questions with peers.

What's in store?

✨Learn about the link between Living Wage and encouraging more socio-economic diversity among charity workers

✨Breakouts where you’ll get the chance to speak to others in the Living Wage Funders network and learn about the impact of your support

✨Hear from our speakers on how they are meeting the challenge of supporting people from working-class backgrounds to consider a third-sector career

✨Enjoy the gorgeous Museum gardens and meet others who are working to tackle low pay in the not-for-profit sector

Venue and access

The Museum of the Home is a Living Wage employer. The Museum entrance is opposite Hoxton Station (London Overground), on Geffrye Street and provides step-free access from trains to the Museum.

You can also enter the Museum from Kingsland Road. This is the best entrance to use if you are arriving by bus, using a Blue Badge parking bay and for drop-offs by car. The Blue Badge parking bays are alongside the Museum gates and allow parking for up to 3 hours, 10am–4pm.

The Museum of the Home has stepfree access, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop. Please let us know in advance if you require BSL interpretation or if there are any other reasonable adjustments we can make for you on the day.
