Living Wage South Bank
Fri 31 March 2017, 09:00 – 10:30 BST
South Bank Business Improvement District - in partnership with the Living Wage Foundation and London Citizens - is running an innovative research project, Living Wage South Bank, to provide insight and assistance to those employers that are considering paying the London Living Wage and becoming accredited.
The project has engaged consumers, residents and businesses and has sought a wide and diverse range of views on employment, pay and accreditation, as well as being alive to the concerns of business, given the current economic climate.
We would like to invite you and / or a colleague to attend a short seminar for South Bank employers and businesses - to share some of our findings from the consumer and resident research, and to hear from some South Bank businesses about their experiences of getting accreditation, and its benefits.
We’ll also be joined by leading academic, Andrea Werner from Middlesex University, who will share her insight on a number of comprehensive studies on the impact and benefits of paying the Living Wage as well as local employers who have become accredited in the South Bank area - these are:
- St.John's at Waterloo
Representatives will join us to answer questions regarding the process, their decision making and the impact that accreditation has had on their own businesses.
Please join us at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, on Friday 31 March 2017 from 9am to 10.30am.
A breakfast of tea/coffee and pastries will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there.
