About this event

Eating well:

We will be exploring food as medicine, considering different food groups and diets, and the problems with ultraprocessed food. We'll be sharing our tips for eating well and setting you some challenges.

Connections:

We'll be looking at the evidence for why you need to be in a tribe if you want to survive and thrive, and why loneliness may be worse for you than cancer. We'll be sharing our tips for building better connections.

The Living Well Course training programme is part online, part in-person. We start with 4 online modules, each lasting an hour or so, covering the evidence for lifestyle medicine and importance of behaviour change as well as the "pillars of wellbeing": eating well, movement, sleep, connecting with others, stress/relaxation and purpose in life. Each module is led by one of our team of GPs who are also certified Lifestyle Medicine physicians. The sessions are engaging and interactive and offer you the chance to develop both your knowledge and your networks. The online modules occur weekly for 4 weeks, with 3 different nights each week that you can sign up for, to give you as much flexibility as you need.

The in-person conference helps you bring this all together, meeting up in real life with those that you've only seen on a screen up until now. The emphasis of the day is putting all of this into practice, including developing your idea for a course, the practicalities of running a course, and the opportunity to put all of this into practice in some group sessions.

By the end of the Living Well Course training programme you will have the knowledge, confidence and support to run your own course in your community. We provide you with the core educational content (including videos and other resources), and with ongoing mentoring and support as alumni of the Living Well Course training programme.

We've run this course a number of times now. Feedback is highly positive and we are always oversubscribed, having to turn people away.

So don't miss out...book your place whilst there are tickets left!

We're looking forward to meeting you
