About this event

Join Mindroom for an insightful webinar exploring the connection between neurodiversity and hypermobility, with a focus on the lived experiences of autism and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS).

Guest Speaker: Sarah Clark

Sarah is a Postgraduate Research Student and autism trainer whose work focuses on reducing diagnostic delays for autistic individuals with EDS and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD). Diagnosed with autism in adulthood and living with hEDS, Sarah brings both academic and personal insight to this important topic.

In this session, Sarah will:

  • Share her personal journey of navigating dual diagnoses
  • Explore the clinical and systemic challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals with hypermobility conditions
  • Discuss current research and advocacy efforts aimed at improving healthcare access and diagnostic pathways
  • Offer reflections on embodiment, identity, and resilience

Sarah has presented internationally and published in journals including the BMJ and The Journal of Patient Experience, and is a Patient Expert in the EDS International Consortium.

Session Chair: Nelly Whaley
