About this event
The training will be focused on understanding:
- The causes for behaviour and considers the impact on parents, carers and families.
- Looking at effective strategies for managing difficult behaviour
- Helping parents develop effective support and getting help.
The training is delivered by Al Coates MBE, He is qualified Social Worker, Practice Educator and an Advanced Non Violent Resistance Practitioner. He has co published several books on the issue of Childhood Challenging Violent & Aggressive Behaviour and has worked and trained parents, adopters, kinship carers, education providers, police forces, youth justice, social workers and health professions. He is a key note speaker, works with BASW and the DfE and is the founder and co host of The Adoption & Fostering Podcast. Al is also a former foster carer an is a parent to six adopted children.
