Mental Health Day is on the 10th October 2016, it is held annually to raise awareness of mental health. To coincide with this, MHM Wales are running a project, called “Living with Mental Health”. The idea of the project is to raise awareness of the everyday issues faced by people affected by mental health through the medium of photographs and words
MHM Wales will be holding an event on the 8th October in Carnegie House (14 Wyndham St, Bridgend CF31 1EF) to showcase your photographs. If you like to take part in the project, please submit a photograph of something that means something to you, this can be a positive or negative image. Along with your picture we just need a title and a few words highlighting why this photo is important to you.
These can also be anonymous.
There is no right or wrong. It’s not about the best photograph. If you need any support taking photographs or coming up with the words, please ask a staff member, Supporter, Beneficiary or one of our volunteers.
Your photograph will be then be printed and displayed with others to produce a gallery of what it is like to live with mental health. Your photographs will also be posted on social medium to reach a wider audience and therefore increase the level of awareness of mental health.
